Air Rifle Shooting for the visually impaired

The club hosted a very successful have a go day for blind shooters. Ken Nash, NSRA Vice Chairman, brought the specially adapted rifles to the range and a number of students from Dorton College tried them out. The specially adapted sights generate a sound from the black/white/grey areas of the target and its not as easy as it might seem - you have to listen for the right pitch sound in the earphones to tell you when to shoot. A team from Meridian TV were on hand to record events and they gave us a good slot immediately after the main news bulletin. Our thanks to all, and particularly Ken Nash, for making such an interesting day.
